Electricity…maybe today?

Rumor has it, our power should be restored today by noon.  We have been running on generator power since shortly after the storm.  My fingers are crossed.

If we do have power tonight, I anticipate standing in front of a light switch and flicking it on and off in utter amazement for an undetermined amount of time.

    How did you find this out? I’d love to know when mine is supposed to be back. The last CenterPoint map I saw said my zip code was due to be back by Monday. Well, it’s Tuesday & I still got BUPKISS!

    Our apartment complex is currently hard-wired to a pair of industrial generators to provide temporary power to some essential appliances (AC, fridge, washer/dryer, etc).

    The management was alerted that the power is available and they will be re-connecting the complex to the Houston grid by noon.

    I officially love our management for going the extra mile and renting those generators. It has made the last week so much more comfortable.

    The short time that I spent without electricity made me realize how empty our homes are without the stuff. Empty and quiet. I’m sorry you had to go so long without it and I’m happy to hear that you are back online.
